Youth Service
Rotary supports young people with many Youth Activities.
Rotary's investment in Youth takes many forms. There are several national competitions such as Young Photographer, Young Musician and Youth Speaks. There is Rotary for schools, with Rotakids in primary schools and Interact Clubs at secondary level. This then extends into Rotaract for young adults, and the prestigious Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA for short) which covers team building and leadership training..
Launceston Rotary runs a Fun Day every year for young adults with varying limitations, and the proceeds of the shop support many of the local youth activities in the form of grants.
We have a close relationship with Launceston College and are happy to support them when needed.
Even more imaginatively, we supplied the local library with a large quantity of Lego which is used regularly by their Lego club, and is taken to schools and public events.
